               st1\:*{behavior:url(#default#ieooui) }           Experience something different on television as you watch the “Snapshots of Change” Back to Back with “Trade Talking” Series on IBC Channel 13 at 10pm Mondays thru Fridays except Wednesdays starting 18th July 2006 on EBC Earth Files brought to you by the Environmental Broadcast Circle (EBC) in partnership with TVE (Television for the Environment) and the Broadcasting for Change Network.  
   
  “Snapshots of Change” is a groundbreaking series of 32 short films made in 31 countries around the world repacked by EBC for a 30-minute time slot mark the 10th anniversary of the Beijing Fourth World Conference on Women (Beijing +10).  Ten years ago he leaders of 189 countries who attended the Beijing Conference signed up to a landmark agreement, the Beijing Platform for Action committing themselves to women’s rights, equality and empowerment – including, inter alia, the end of violence and discrimination against women, universal education for girls, and promoting more women in government, parliament and management positions.  Ten years on, Snapshots of Change aims to show just how well they’re delivering on those promises.
   
  “Trade Talking” is a series of five-minute films packaged in a 30-minute slot produced to raise awareness of the final negotiations of the World Trade Organization (WTO) taking place at the end of July. The trade deal agreed during these negotiations will affect the economic future of every country in the world.  However, it is developing countries that are most at risk of receiving an unfair deal, which could destroy their own industries and rapidly increase poverty.  Oxfam International has joined with TVE to produce the series of short films which focus on key trade barriers experienced by the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Kenya, Zambia and Brazil.
