I have banned the poster of the above information not because of what he had posted but because of the orchestrated move to bring down what BROOD stands for.
This issue had been blown into proportions by both Ed de Borja of Kibaka and by Talsik. Way back in 2004 we have engaged Kibaka on their 'Samahang Pang Kabuhayan' Project or Livelihood Association. After analysis their project BROOD had entered into an agreement that we will support their project entitled above and have requested for funding for this in the amount of Php15,000, we have also noted some flaws in the current format of organizing and running the association which includes raising of native chickens and native pigs. We raised this issue because both these variety received a lukeward response from people whom I had surveyed if they will be asked to take care of one.
The native pig was rejected because it grows so slow and can only be ready for butchery after 1 year while the native chicken is prone to sickness. We have also taken note of their aim to disperse the amount they will give to the 7 families which will initially form the association since if this will not be BROOD members initially they will have no accountability whatsoever for the project. Thus in order to pursue this project we convince seven members from BROOD-Bulacan to be the project members for this.
The project will be raised at Roa Farm in Bonga, Menor, Bustos, Bulacan. This project had been known to BROOD-Bulacan members and was in fact discussed with Mr. Neciforo Roa who also raised the same concern indicated above. Since the requirement is that all project members should come from the same Barangay we thought that for the benefit of the Project we will just use the clubhouse as the place of residence for the 7 members namely: Michelle Samaniego, Honey Balmediano, Catherine Remulta, Kathrina Castro, Rodelio Adolfo, Mei Santiago and Rio Tagatac. We also asked Sir Roa to ask the name of the Brgy. Captain and the school principal for the Barangay. Our intention is to first make preparations for the project and insure its start before eventually involving the Principal and the captain, since we know how politics works here.
This is the reason why BROOD-Bulacan started Balik-Tanim headed by Secretary General, Librando Dorendez as posted in our website -->
BALIK TANIM.
It was however unfortunate that the funding we had received was below the requested amount of Php15,000 as only Php7,700 was given. This posted a new problem as to how can we as an organization sustain the project and thus make it Sustainable. Besides this Bulacan had also been hit by a big typhoon early 2005.
I, as Secretary General had communicated this to Sir Ed on April of 2005 and I have sent the Balik-Tanim pictures hoping to eventually continue the project but unfortunately the following had also led for the eventual shelving of the project and the fund being kept until things had been resolved:
- The issue of members of members disciplinary action especially that of Ms. Honeylyn Balmediano and her scholarship grant and related leaving of members connected with her;
- The temporary leave of Librando Dorendez, the Bulacan Secretary General
- Restructuring and rehabilitation of BROOD Bulacan Chapter
- All the seven members except Mei and Rodelio are not with contact with BROOD anymore. Rio and Honey had been expelled while Cathy, Michelle and Kathrina are now working and cannot participate in organizational activities
- Kibaka promised training for the organization regarding this project and orientation as well but they had not communicated nor fulfilled this
These were fully internal matters related to BROOD, however due to this event and the eventual imminent danger made by this posting to the org am disclosing this. We, especially me as known to all members have no intention of scamming or defrauding anyone. I had been very dedicated with this organization ever since and shall not allow the name of the org to be tarnished. The fund intended for this project had been kept intact and can be remitted immediately.
The process taken by Kibaka to resolve this matter had not been very professional and very friendly. Naturally the Principal will not know me in Bonga Menor since I am from Baliuag, Bulacan as they already know during all my communications. There maybe some lapse in judgment in my part with the intention of fulfilling the intention of this project which in the end will be understood. Unfortunately Kibaka had immediately made public such a warning without even consulting or informing me or the organization. We were not allowed to confront the accusations and be able to defend and ifnrom them of what happened. If they want they should have visited or called me in the first place. You know me... I will not tarnish the good name of BROOD and every Ryodan just for a meager amount of Php7,700 which I can easily earn.
Thus, we demand in highest priority that Kibaka remove such warning and in BROOD's part we shall return the sponsorship that had been given since we will not be able to accomplish this project anymore due to the inherent limitations of their project.
Also due to this event we also disassociate ourselves from Kibaka and Talsik.
