Disclosure on WCYF and Frederick Von Saxe Lauenberg

First of all, BROOD would like once again to thank all of the sponsors and patrons of WCYF 2009. Despite all of the problems the event ended with at most a manifesto and an understanding about Sustainable Development. We apologize for all the shortcomings on our part but please understand that this event would had been better if all the pledges of our partners, the members of the Finance Committee and most specially Frederick Von Saxe Lauenberg had been honored. We are issuing this disclosure to clarify certain things and to make it known that BROOD is no longer connected to Frederick Von Saxe Lauenberg, the WCYF and the WCYF Secretariat. Join the BROOD ANNUAL CAMP in October 2010

BROOD is inviting everyone to be part of its 5th National BROOD Camp at Atimonan, Quezon on Ocober 29-31, 2010 (DOWNLOAD REGISTRATION HERE). This camp is previously scheduled this summer but due to its [proximity to the elections we decide it to move to the October sembreak so that more people could attend. The camp will again be a fruitful experience full of challenges, learning and more. So join us! Atimonan, Quezon is also home to wonderful beach front and a great diving area.

There will also be a modest Registration Fee of P500 for every participant to cover food and accommodation. BROOD Celebrates 8th Year Anniversary - March 25, 2010

8th Year na ang BROOD March 25, 2010 is officially the 8th Year Anniversary of Brotherhood of Destiny (BROOD) which will culminate on its 5th SUMMER CAMP on May 28-31 at Atimonan, Quezon. It is interesting to note that "8" is also a symbol of change from what is old to what is new. The organization for 8 years have undergone through various success and trials as well and this year majority of the members of the organization are engaged in the electoral process.

Majority of the members of the National Council are supporting the candidacy of environmentalist, Nicanor Perlas due to similarity of its vision, mission and objectives of the organization. However, these are individual decisions and not organizational. As an organization however, WE ARE CALLING ON ALL OUR MEMBERS to examine the track record, platform and stand of every candidate on various issues and VOTE FOR THE BEST CANDIDATE regardless of their popularity or stand on the surveys.

In this SEASON OF HOPE, LOVE and SHARING, BROOD would like to extend our deepest and wholehearted thanks to everyone who continues to believe and support our cause and advocacy for sustainable development, peace, arts and culture, information technology, entrepreneurship and a politically aware and socially engaged people not only in the Philippines but internationally.

The organization is nearing its 8th Year Anniversary next year where we will also be selecting officers for the next three years (2010 - 2013) through our SUMMER CAMP and NATIONAL CONGRESS. We have been active both in local and international activities and despite the trials and adversities we will continue to reach for our mission, vision and objectives.
