Being a Ryodan is fun and well you get to know a lot of people who are part of an organization and you know that most of them are doing something and making a difference not for money or pay but because of their passion to really do something. However, it pains me personally to see members who terribly need help but the organization in itself is incapable to help.
One such case is that of Bigan Cesar Amoranto (Jabez Brood), National Council on Environment, he is suffering from a wound in his feet and because of diabetes, lack of medication and inability to afford proper medication because of his status in life, he is in danger of amputation. What can I personally do? Well all I can do for now is to post this message and information on the organization's website and ask all of you dear visitors and members of BROOD to help us help him. You can contact him directly at +639179197062 or at
This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
. He terribly need the help of everyone who is willing to lend a hand.

World Creative Youth Forum (WCYF) is a partnership project among organizations in the Philippines and in other countries. It was an idea conceptualized by HRH Prince Frederick Saxe-Lauenberg. The project is headed by Brotherhood of Destiny, Inc. (BROOD) and will happen on May 2009. In support of this event BROOD had launched an Earth Caravan to talk about the environment and the upcoming WCYF 2009.
This time we are calling on bloggers and websites to join the EARTH CYBER CARAVAN and talk about the environment and about World Creative Youth Forum 2009. By doing so you will be entitled for an entry to win 5,000 Entrecard Credits and US$10.00 courtesy of Shen (this could increase as donors come in). Your articles will also be included in the Official Interactive CD for the event which includes your article, name and blog title and url. The Cyber Earth Caravan 1st Leg will run from today, August 1, 2008 up to October 1, 2008.

Successive overtimes for piled up deadlines. Props due for one of the biggest national conferences Friday that week, in which I am the coordinator. Not to mention other responsibilities out of the office. A jampacked weekday deserved a big-time reward, for sure. And true enough, the busyness at work did not prevent me from escaping and doing the things that I love doing -- such as travelling and joining organizations -- even doing these with people I have met for the first time.
San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija was 500 + kilometers or three major provinces away from Metro Manila but it seemed like home to me just like our place in the province. Before, I only knew Nueva Ecija as the home of rice, until I arrived and met the people behind the active Brotherhood of Destiny. It was such a flattering welcome -- although not entirely strange for us Filipinos because of our innate hospitality -- having been served with "nilaga" floating in hot soup and rice covered intricately in banana leaf - which amazed me so much because of the idea and the labor (and the fact that we don't run out of rice). And though a storm was already looming that night, I don't know why I felt safe in the bunch of unknown people.

In an attempt to solidify and organize the youth sector in San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija and revitalize its member organization, Pagasa Youth Association (PYA, the organization conducted a 1-day acceptrance at Jovins Resort, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija. The Acceptance was facilitated by Cypher, Shen and Hajime which are members of the BRODO National Council as well as full pledge members of the chapter.
The acceptance includes the 7-virtue test for new members which the organization hope that the PYA will integrate into their membership process. Despite the relatively low turnout of participants due to heavy rains the acceptance had been successful. It is also historical for the organization because during this acceptance one prospect, Kim of Brgy. Tambo Adorable if he will be a full pledge member will become the youngest BROOD member at 9 years old.
