The 1st Workd Creative Youth Forum (WCYF) 2009 on Education for Sustainable Development had been officially endorsed by UNESCO Jakarta Office through Prof. Hubert Gijzen, Regional Director of UNESCO Jakarta Office.  The Jakarta Office is the cluster office for Brunei Darrusalam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Timor Leste.  It is also the Regional Science Bureau for Asia and the Pacific.  WCYF 2009 is being co-organized by Brotherhood of Destiny (BROOD) together with Children of the World 2000 and other organizations from the United States, South America, and Africa.

HAPPY HOLDAYS's TO ALL!  Almost seven year ago BROOD was born with just a simple mission to bond together friends and create a family and now it has grown.  There are still lots of problems that the organization is facing but together we can make this organization better.  An organization that sees the goodness in everyone and collaborates with others to make a difference.  Members sometimes comes and go and we value their contribution to the organization, they had been part of what we are now.  This season let us thank everyone who did matter in our lives and hope that next year we achieve more and make a difference.  HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL RYODAN, OUR FAMILY, FRIENDS and ACQUIANTANCES!

Baliwag, Bulacan joins the globe in the Global Day of Action Against Climate Change, December 8 through music and sounds.  18 independent bands joined the event entitled Signos: Musika at Tugtugan Laban sa Climate Change which started 7:00pm.  The Glorietta Park, Clock Tower, Rizal Monument and the vicinity was occupied by an audience estimated to range from 500 - 1,000.  Slam, dance and an active crowd joins the sounds of bands from various genre including Alternative Rock, Punk, Reggae, Metal and more.  This was also part of the Earth Caravan for the World Creative Youth Forum (WCYF) 2009 .  Also present during the event were Atty Ei and Gio of Team RP, Angelo from the United Nations Youth Association of the Philippines (UNYA), and the anonymous guest, Gov. Teddy Baguilar Jr. of Ifugao.

Beauty and Music filled the air of Tambo Adorable in San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija as seven lovely beauties competed for the title of Bb. Kalikasan 2008 in the Sining, Sayaw at Himig Para sa Kalikasan, one of the legs of the Brotherhood of Destiny (BROOD) - World Creative Youth Forum (WCYF) 2009 Earth Caravan.  "Bangon Kabataan Para sa Kalikasan" was the theme of the event which also showcased a competition for the Attire of the Earth where recycled and indigenous materials were used by the candidates.  There was also a Fashion of the Earth where the youth organizers of the event was clad in recycled and innovative clothing which makes use of materials you never thought can be made into stylish fashion.

More than 70 tri-people youth leaders coming from different organizations all over the country have gathered here in Cotabato for the conduct of the Mindanao Youth Peace Summit and Peace Mission, themed “Building Ethno-Cultural and Interfaith Bridges of Understanding among Youth.” This summit provided avenues for youth leaders to witness firsthand the effects of the ongoing armed hostilities.

Just recently I have shared my ideas on blogging for a cause during the Philippine Bloggers Night at the My LIttle Arts Place in Greenhills, San Juan on June 10, 2008. Sharing the experiences of being a youth leader, a blogger owning several blogs which includes this one, Pagod Ka Na Bang Maging si Juan , The Blog Reviewer , and Ordinary People, Ordinary Day among others I tried to inspire fellow bloggers to blog not only for personal or money reasons but also to inspire others.
